Global Law and Justice Scholarship

Welcome Fall 2026 Global Law and Justice Scholars

Northeastern University School of Law has awarded the Global Law and Justice Scholarship — the School of Law’s highest honor for students pursuing careers in international and global law — to first-year students Ayanna Bediako ’29, Alexia Ingram ’29 and Josiah Morris ’29.

Ayanna Bediako ’29 graduated from UC Berkeley in 2023 with a major in legal studies and a minor in human rights. Most recently, she worked as a paralegal at a small plaintiff-side law firm that represented individuals in employment, consumer protection and civil rights matters, which reaffirmed her commitment to pursuing justice for individuals in marginalized communities.

Alexia Ingram ’29 graduated with highest honors from Harvard College, where she majored in sociology and received the Thomas T. Hoopes Prize for outstanding scholarly research presented in her senior thesis. Most recently, she spent two years as a business immigration paralegal at Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, drafting and refining persuasive filings for multiple visa categories.

Josiah Morris ’29 graduated summa cum laude from Florida Atlantic University, where he studied political science and business administration. During his studies, he worked with GI 305, a community organization advancing a Guaranteed Income Program, the Florida Justice Center, Reform Alliance, Re-Entry One and most recently the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections. He is passionate about advancing equity and social justice both nationally and internationally.
