Faith Khalik is the senior researcher, responsible for overseeing the Public Health Law Watch, a collaborative initiative between the Center for Health Policy and Law and the George Consortium, a network of academics, scholars and practitioners in the field of public health law. The Public Health Law Watch (PHLW) identifies potential legislative and regulatory changes that have the potential to impact public health. PHLW’s main goal is to increase visibility and understanding of public health law issues and changes, identify ways to engage on these issues, and provide legal analysis and commentary.
Prior to joining the Center, Faith worked at Georgia Sea Grant in Athens, GA, where her research portfolio focused on the Clean Water Act and related legal issues. She also has extensive experience working on various legislative and outreach activities for Wisconsin state senators and Russ Feingold’s senate campaign.
Faith earned a JD from the University of Georgia and a BA in political science from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
