“As one of the lawyers in Furman v. Georgia, the 1972 Supreme Court case that ended the death penalty for four years, I applaud President Biden’s commutation of the death sentences of 37 men, but I am appalled that he allowed three men to remain on death row” writes Professor Michael Meltsner in a letter to The Boston Globe.
