Closed Schools Could Be Putting Children at Risk During the COVID-19 Pandemic

The closure of schools, along with the added stress of balancing work, child care and distance learning, could all be factors that have led to a rise in child abuse seven months into the COVID-19 pandemic, says Professor Margo Lindauer ’07, director of Northeastern Law’s Domestic Violence Institute.
