Danielle Wyman ’25 Named Social Justice Legal Foundation Impact Litigation Fellow

04.30.25—Danielle Wyman ’25 has been selected for a highly competitive Impact Litigation Fellowship from the Social Justice Legal Foundation (SJLF). This prestigious two-year fellowship, based in Los Angeles, equips early-career attorneys with the skills and experience to pursue high-impact litigation in service of marginalized communities and in direct challenge to powerful corporate and government interests.
As an SJLF fellow, Wyman will receive comprehensive, hands-on training in client advocacy, legal strategy development and complex litigation tactics. The fellowship provides a launchpad for promising legal careers, with alumni/ae advancing to federal judicial clerkships, positions at leading public interest organizations and civil rights law firms, and academic roles in law school clinics.
“I came to law school precisely to work with organizations like the Social Justice Legal Foundation,” said Wyman. “Our civil rights are not suspended when we become incarcerated or interact with law enforcement, and I’m honored to work alongside and at the direction of impacted communities to fight for these rights. Working at SJLF will provide essential class action and impact-focused litigation skills that I can go on to use in advocating for a variety of marginalized communities. I believe that it is my duty as a soon-to-be lawyer to use my position to shine a light on the rapid escalation of civil and human rights abuses taking place at the direction of the current administration.”
Wyman was selected from a nationwide pool of candidates based on her demonstrated commitment to social justice, litigation potential and dedication to advocating for underrepresented communities.
