CRRJ Workshop Series: Policy Initiatives on Collective Trauma and Restorative Justice in Rwanda

Please join the Civil Rights and Restorative Justice Project on Wednesday, July 27 from 4:00 -5:30PM ET for a workshop with Emily Gould ’82, co-director of African Peace Partners.  This event is open to CRRJ affiliates and members of the Northeastern University community.

Emily Gould ’82, adjunct professor at Vermont Law School, served as the international law reform consultant to the Ministry of Justice of Rwanda on a national policy on Alternative Dispute Resolution. Adopted by the Justice Sector and pending legislative approval, the ADR Policy calls for trauma-informed restorative process for all civil, criminal and administrative matters. Gould will discuss the intersection of collective trauma and restorative justice in Rwanda and the policy design issues posed by this reality.
