The law school’s co-hosted Northeastern Reflects Civility Series continues with an important panel discussion, Legal Perspectives on Groups and Institutions Under Assault. Please join our law faculty members Libby Adler and Hemanth Gundavaram and the School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs Director, Professor Maria Ivanova, on Monday, April 14 at 3 pm in the John D. O'Bryant African-American Institute for a wide-ranging discussion on the effects of current federal administration policies and mitigation strategies.
Panelist will discuss the implications of recent policy pronouncements for international, undocumented and LGBTQ+ members of our community. Questions that will be addressed include: What is the status of legal challenges to Executive Orders affecting our mission as a university? How are domestic and international governance institutions adapting to the new administration?
The panel will be moderated by the Department Chair of Cultures, Societies, and Global Studies, Professor Amílcar Barreto.
