Bio

Maggie Austen is General Counsel at Campaign Industries, LLC, a progressive political consulting firm and field vendor, where she manages outside counsel, drafts and negotiates client and vendor agreements, advises on employment matters, and handles multi-state compliance. Her practice is transactional at its core, spanning vendor contracts, ground leases, occupancy agreements, and nonprofit governance documents. Austen volunteers her services to several Boston community organizations, including the Bob Haas Community Trust, CRECHE, the Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative, and The Garden Church. A trained teacher and former teaching assistant for first-year Contracts at Suffolk, Austen teaches Transactional Drafting on the premise that students learn to draft contracts by drafting them.
