Bio

Michel Bamani is vice president and counsel at State Street Corporation where his advises the alternative investments group on various corporate legal issues. Prior to joining State Street, Bamani was in-house counsel at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston advising senior management and various departments on corporate and data privacy legal issues and then was a corporate associate at the law firm of Sherin and Lodgen in Boston.

Bamani serves on the alumni council of Bowdoin College and is the board president for the non-profit English for New Bostonians. Michel is also active with the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association.

Bamani was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and is fluent in French, Swahili and conversational in Lingala.
