Bio
Judge Isaac Borenstein has been teaching on a part time and full time basis at several law schools for about 35 years. His primary courses have been Evidence and Criminal Procedure, and he has also taught Criminal Law, Administrative Law, Constitutional Law and co-taught Conflicts of Law. He also helped to create, directed and taught in an academic exchange between Suffolk Law School and the University of Havana School of Law. He has received numerous awards for teaching excellence as voted by graduating classes. He has taught at Northeastern, Suffolk, Boston University, Brooklyn Law School and the civil clinical program at Harvard Law School. He served as a Judge on the Lawrence District Court and on the Mass. Superior Court for 22 years. He received numerous awards for his service on the bench. He is a native of Havana, Cuba, arriving in the US at the age of 10. After 40 years in Boston, he moved to Brooklyn, New York, in 2018, where his son lives.
