Commenting for the Courier Journal, Professor Daniel Medwed says he finds it “deeply troubling” that a prosecutor had prosecuted former clients. “It’s one of the hallmarks, one of the most deeply rooted traditions and principles in law: That the relationship between the attorney and client is sacred and the confidences should be kept, as long as those confidences are not being used to perpetrate some future fraud or crime.”
