Law and Communications Unite with MS in Media Advocacy
03.14.19 — The MS in media advocacy is an exciting new collaboration between the law school and the College of Arts, Media and Design. The program gives students a foundation in policy and the law with sophisticated training in the latest and most effective digital communication strategies. It involves faculty members from diverse disciplines across the university who are preparing students to be empowered citizens in a global, media-driven society
Current student Collyn Stephens says, “My decision to go to Northeastern for media advocacy was the best decision I could have made. I have the opportunity to learn a variety of skills , from video production and data visualization to writing a case brief and legal advocacy portfolio for a law class. The advisors and teachers are always gracious with support and project opportunities. The program is off to a great start and I am optimistic that it will continue to encourage inclusion and learning through experience!”
