Meet Our New Alumni/ae Association Board President: John Lanza ’95

9.23.26 — More than three decades of advising tech companies of every size has given John Lanza ’95 a wealth of experience to draw on, and he's bringing that energy to one of the country’s most forward-thinking alumni/ae networks. A partner in the IP Department at Foley Hoag, Lanza is president of the Northeastern Law Alumni/ae Association Board of Directors for 2026–2027, determined to make it a standout year for Northeastern Law graduates.

“Serving on the Alumni/ae Association Board is how I stay connected to a school that shaped how I think about the law,” said Lanza. “This year we’re focused on digital civil rights, an issue I come to from the tech side — 30 years working with companies of every size has shown me firsthand how fast technology is outrunning the law’s ability to protect people’s rights. I want to bring that perspective to the network, help current students think about law in a rapidly evolving digital world, and keep the school true to its founding mission of using the law in service of the public good”
