Northeastern Law Community Members Inducted into Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly’s 2024 Hall of Fame
08.20.24 — Northeastern University School of Law is proud to announce that Lawrence Cetrulo ’75, Elaine Epstein ’76, Pauline Quirion ’81 and the Honorable Marc Kantrowitz, an adjunct professor at Northeastern Law, will be inducted into Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly’s 2024 Hall of Fame.
Class members were selected based on their career accomplishments, contributions to the development of the law in Massachusetts, contributions to the bar and efforts to improve the quality of justice in Massachusetts.
Lawrence Cetrulo ’75 is a founding partner of Cetrulo, a leading law firm defending complex civil litigation claims. He has more than 40 years of experience in toxic tort litigation, environmental litigation, auto design defect litigation, products liability, professional malpractice litigation, general liability, insurance coverage and business litigation. He serves as coordinating counsel for all toxic tort and product liability litigations for several of America’s largest corporations.
Elaine Epstein ’76 is a partner at Todd & Weld and co-director of the firm’s probate and family law practice. She has tried dozens of cases in the Probate and Family Court in Massachusetts and resolved hundreds more short of trial — ranging from substantial asset divisions to contested parental rights and novel issues involving the property rights of non-married cohabitants and the rights of non-biological parents.
Pauline Quirion ’81 is a lead attorney and director of the CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) and Re-entry Project at Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS), which was launched in 2008 in to help individuals who are shut out of the economy, rejected for housing and denied other opportunities because of their criminal records.
An associate justice of the Massachusetts Appeals Court, the Honorable Marc Kantrowitz teaches trial practice at Northeastern Law. He has tried hundreds of cases and has also been published extensively. Prior to assuming his duties on the bench, Kantrowitz served as an associate justice on the Juvenile Court for five years.
Membership in the Hall of Fame is reserved for Massachusetts lawyers age 60 and older or who have been practicing for 30 years or more. Kantrowitz, Cetrulo ’75, Epstein and Quirion will be celebrated alongside their fellow honorees at an awards program on September 17 at Venezia Boston.
