Northeastern Law Hosts Immigration Relief Screening Clinic in Partnership with Greater Boston Legal Services
05.01.26 — In March, Northeastern Law’s Center for Public Interest Advocacy and Collaboration (CPIAC) and Immigrant Justice Clinic partnered with Greater Boston Legal Services to host an immigration relief screening clinic for community members in the Greater Boston area. More than 60 volunteers came together — including Greater Boston Legal Services advocates and Northeastern Law students, staff and faculty — to provide immigration legal advice to more than 45 clients.
“The clinic provided much needed support to individuals and families navigating a challenging and overwhelmed immigration system” said Renay Frankel ’06, managing director of CPIAC.
“We are so grateful to our community partners, who worked closely with us to identify community members in need of legal assistance. We could not do this work without them,” said Anne Georges, Greater Boston Legal Services senior immigration attorney and co-director of Northeastern Law’s Immigrant Justice Clinic.
