03.25.25 — Charles Choi ‘25, Matt Nadeau ‘25, Kelsey Cumiskey ’25 and Anthea Simon ‘26 placed second at the national finals of the Saul Lefkowitz Trademark Moot Court competition, which took place on Saturday, March 8, in Washington, DC. The annual competition is hosted by the International Trademark Association to engage students in trademark and unfair competition law. This year’s competition focused on three principal issues: likelihood of confusion; bona fide use in commerce; and the extraterritoriality of the Lanham Act with respect to collecting infringement damages.

Serving as team manager, Nadia Boudoukara ’26 played a key role in organizing practices and keeping the team on track over the past six months in preparation for competition.

“The students’ intelligence, poise, determination and teamwork were on full display throughout the entire process. I am incredibly proud of them,” said Professor Bruce Jacoby, who served as the team’s faculty advisor and coach.
