The War on Drugs as an Instrument of Racial Oppression: How Did We Get Here and Where Do We Go?
With racist policing in the spotlight, this forum will explore how the War on Drugs has served as the legal foundation and rhetorical justification for militarized policing in the United Sates. After a panel interrogating the history of the War on Drugs as an instrument of racial oppression and its relationship with police brutality, this forum will engage members of the community in a discussion about actionable and effective reforms.
