This Pharma Company Makes a Miracle HIV Drug, but Is Blocking Access for Millions of Low-Income People
Professor Emeritus Brook Baker of Northeastern Law is quoted in the Los Angeles Times on Gilead’s lenacapavir licensing practices, noting that while the pharmaceutical company has applied for or received patents for the HIV drug in 15 countries excluded from its voluntary licensing agreement, “it has made no promises that it will sell or license the drug in those countries.”
