Bio
Professor Gott is a teaching professor in the Legal Skills in Social Context (LSSC) program. Her LSSC social justice projects are in the areas of wrongful convictions and gun violence. She joined Northeastern in 2022 and has taught legal skills for more than fifteen years. While she was a faculty member at Roger Williams University School of Law, Professor Gott also developed and piloted a course on Wrongful Convictions and the Role of Legal Advocacy.
Prior to teaching, Professor Gott was a litigator for over a decade, with a focus on commercial, employment and probate litigation. She has also successfully represented clients pro bono in political asylum cases. Professor Gott was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, and was a first-generation college and law student. She received her bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Connecticut and her JD from Suffolk University Law School, where she was the associate managing editor of the Suffolk University Law Review.
