So far I have enjoyed experiences in both family law and personal injury, but look forward to experiencing other fields of law in the future before deciding.

In terms of support and resources, what do you recommend to prospective students considering Northeastern Law?
The students at Northeastern Law are going to be the best for hearing about what day-to-day life looks like. Plus, the Northeastern Law students in my experience are always eager to help. I have LinkedIn messaged many students and they always are super helpful no matter the question!

What extracurricular activities have you been involved with at Northeastern?
First-generation law association: 1L representative. Student Ambassadors Criminal Law Association.

What has been your favorite part about doing co-op while at NUSL? Can you describe the experience?
I have not been on co-op yet but I am set to work at Greater Boston Legal Services this Summer. Speaking from my past co-op experiences in undergrad, co-op is the perfect way to try out things you are interested in but aren’t ready to commit to. In undergrad, I actually wanted to be a campaign manager but after taking courses on the subject and co-oping at the state legislature, I decided it wasn’t for me. My second co-op was at a personal injury law firm where I loved the work. This is what led me to law school! It is better to try a field/job that you are uncertain about for 10-15 weeks than tobe stuck in a career you dislike for years.
