Bio
Professor Lucas Blackadar ’14 teaches Entertainment Law and the Transactional Drafting Seminar at Northeastern Law. Professor Blackadar is the deputy director of the Arts & Business Council of Greater Boston, where he manages the Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts of Massachusetts and Connecticut. He is an entertainment attorney and counsels artists of all disciplines (visual, music, lit, drama, TV and film, etc.), creative businesses, and arts and culture nonprofits on intellectual property, entity formation and governance, and transactional matters.
Professor Blackadar earned his JD from Northeastern Law and a BA in psychology from Clark University. He is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Outside of his roles with Northeastern and the Arts & Business Council, Professor Blackadar is part-time faculty in Boston University Metropolitan College’s Arts and Cultural Management program, and he serves on the board of directors of the Community Music Center of Boston.
