Bio
Kylah Clay joined Northeastern Law’s Legal Skills in Social Context program in 2026 as a Social Justice Teaching Fellow. Clay received her JD with a trial and appellate advocacy concentration from Suffolk University Law School in 2022. While in law school, she concurrently earned a master of science in criminal justice from Boston University.
Shortly after graduating, Clay established her legal practice in Boston where she represented parents and children as a bar advocate for the CPCS Youth Advocacy Division and Children & Family Law appellate panels. She has argued before both the Massachusetts Court of Appeals and the Supreme Judicial Court.
Clay is passionate about criminal justice, freedom of speech and workers’ rights. She is the current secretary of the Massachusetts chapter of the National Lawyers Guild (NLG) and an avid volunteer for NLG’s Mass Defense Committee, where she has represented over 100 activists facing criminal prosecution. She is also the co-founder of the Independent Organizing Network, an NLG initiative that supports workers organizing independent unions.
