Bio
Iris Figueroa is the Director of Economic and Environmental Justice at Farmworker Justice. Professor Figueroa has been at Farmworker Justice since 2016. At the organization, she engages in advocacy and community education for farmworkers on issues related to occupational health and safety, labor rights and immigration. She meets regularly with farmworker serving organizations around the country to discuss developments on the ground as well as updates in federal policy that affect the farmworker community. Professor Figueroa is a native Spanish speaker. She is a graduate of Georgetown University, Columbia Law School and the University of Amsterdam. She is admitted to practice law in New York and the District of Columbia.
