Bio

Jasmine Howard is a teaching professor and serves as the program director of Salus Populi. In this role, Professor Howard oversees the Salus Populi program that educates and trains the judiciary about the social determinants of health. This program is in collaboration with the Center for Health Policy and Law at Northeastern University School of Law and the Institute for Health Equity and Social Justice Research at Northeastern University.

Prior to joining Northeastern Law, Professor Howard has been a practicing legal professional dedicated to health law and public health. She worked as an asociate attorney at Thornton Law Firm representing families in toxic exposure cases, and as an associate attorney at Murphy and Riley working on healthcare cases. Jasmine holds an LLM in Global Health Law and Governance from Georgetown University Law Center and the Graduate Institute of Geneva where she focused her research on global health inequities in maternal and child health and global health consensus building around pandemic preparedness.
