Siri Nelson

Bio

Siri Nelson is the executive director of the National Whistleblower Center. She previously served as an associate attorney and policy counsel at Kohn, Kohn, and Colapinto (KKC), the nation’s leading whistleblower law firm, where she worked closely with anonymous whistleblowers, legislators and regulators. At KKC, Nelson played a key role in drafting of multiple comments to the SEC on their proposed rule-making under the Dodd-Frank Act whistleblower law. She participated in meetings with the Chairman of the SEC, individual Commission members and the staff of the Commission regarding the importance of maintain a robust SEC whistleblower program. Nelson also wrote an Amicus Brief urging the Supreme Court to grant certiorari in Butler v. Board of County Commissioners for San Miguel County, a case that raised significant whistleblower issues. Nelson is an editor and legislative correspondent at Whistleblower Network News, the leading source of information about whistleblower issues. She was the recipient of the highly prestigious and competitive Estelle S. Kohn Memorial Fellowship awarded by Northeastern University School of Law and was elected to be the Commencement Speaker for her class at Northeastern University School.
