Bio
Em Seawell joined Northeastern Law’s Legal Skills in Social Context program in 2024 as a Social Justice Teaching Fellow. Seawell previously served as a senior staff attorney with the ACLU of North Carolina, where they worked on state and federal impact litigation and class-action cases. Prior to their work with the ACLU, Seawell was an attorney with the Southern Coalition for Social Justice, focusing on voting rights. Seawell also taught for two years in the legal writing program at UNC School of Law. They are a graduate of the University of Florida and Elon University School of Law.
