Shayla Sipp

Bio

Shayla Sipp teaches Special Topics in Employee Rights and Employer Obligations. She is currently of counsel at the Bell Law Group where she handles employment and labor law matters.  Immediately prior to this position, she was an administrative judge at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Atlanta District Office, where she presided over employment discrimination claims and class action complaints filed by federal employees and applicants for federal employment. In this capacity, Professor Sipp conducted and moderated trainings addressing anti-discrimination laws for federal agencies and private companies. Prior to becoming an administrative judge, Professor Sipp was a litigation attorney for three different federal agencies; her practice areas included veterans’ law, medical malpractice, Federal Torts Claim Act, and employment and labor law, with the latter being her focus for the past 15 years. In addition to litigation, Professor Sipp previously advised human resources specialists on performance and disciplinary actions, assisted in drafting policy and provided advice and training to client stakeholders on a multitude of personnel matters.
