Bio
Michael Tumposky is the principal at Tumposky & Associates, P.C., where he concentrates on complex criminal defense and civil rights litigation in both state and federal court. Over his more than twenty years in practice, he has tried numerous cases to verdict in various venues and jurisdictions, and has also handled dozens of state and federal appeals.
Tumposky is a graduate of the National Criminal Defense College and has since been selected to join its visiting faculty. He is frequently asked to conduct trainings for both new and veteran lawyers and is a member of both the Criminal Justice Act and CPCS Homicide panels. In addition, he serves on the Massachusetts CJA board and the board of the Massachusetts Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. His textbook, Evidence in Focus: A Practitioner’s Approach, was published by Aspen in 2024.
Tumposky joined Northeastern's adjunct faculty in 2013. He teaches Evidence and Trial Practice.
