Hannah McCormick ’26 has been awarded a Fulbright U.S. Student Grant
04.28.26 — Hannah McCormick ’26 has been awarded a Fulbright U.S. Student Grant to pursue an LLM in International Children’s Rights at Leiden University in the Netherlands. Her studies will include an in-depth exploration of children’s rights from both international and national perspectives, examining how these issues intersect with human rights, civil, criminal, family and migration law.
“I am extremely honored to receive this grant and look forward to expanding my understanding of children’s rights at the international law level. The LLM cohort will consist of lawyers from all over the world, so I am especially excited to learn from their experiences and how their countries approach these topics,” said McCormick.
The Fulbright U.S. Student Program, established in 1946 as a bold investment in global peace and American prosperity, expands perspectives through academic and professional advancement and cross-cultural dialogue, offering unparalleled opportunities to advance knowledge and innovation across all academic disciplines in partnership with more than 140 countries worldwide.
At Northeastern Law, McCormick built a foundation in child welfare and immigration law through her co-ops at the Harvard Refugee and Immigration Clinic, the Law Offices of Lisa Modecker and the Committee for Public Counsel Services’ Youth Advocacy Division.
