Julia Trencher ’25 Chosen for Prestigious IJC Fellowship

04.29.25—Julia Trencher ’25 has been named to the Class of 2025 Justice Fellows by the Immigrant Justice Corp (IJC). The first and only fellowship of its kind, IJC’s Justice Fellowship identifies promising lawyers who are passionate about immigrants’ rights, places them with organizations where they can make the greatest difference and supports them with training and expert insights as they directly assist immigrants in need.

Trencher will spend her fellowship with UnLocal, a community-centered non-profit organization that provides direct immigration legal representation and community education to New York City’s immigrant communities.

“I am grateful to be joining the team at UnLocal to provide removal defense to immigrant New Yorkers,” said Trencher.  “I am honored to have the opportunity to support immigrant communities in a time when immigrant-focused legal services are so badly needed.”
