Exploring Pauli Murray’s Legacy: A Talk with Professor Lisa A. Crooms-Robinson

02.10.2025 – On February 7, 2025, Northeastern University School of Law’s Center for Law, Equity and Race (CLEAR) hosted a talk with Professor Lisa A. Crooms-Robinson, about her latest archival research into the life and teachings of Rev. Dr. Anna Pauline “Pauli” Murray.
Crooms-Robinson, the 2024-25 Marilyn Beaudry-Corbett Schlesinger Fellow at the Harvard Radcliffe Institute and a professor of law at Howard University School of Law, discussed Murray's complex relationship with Blackness against the historical backdrop of Scott v. Sanford and the Reconstruction Amendments. Murray was a civil rights activist, legal scholar, feminist, poet, author, labor organizer and Episcopal priest.
