2026 Valerie Gordon Human Rights Lecture: Jamil Dakwar

03.27.26 >> Jamil Dakwar, director of the American Civil Liberties Union's Human Rights Program, delivered the 31st annual Valerie Gordon Human Rights Lecture. His keynote, “Accountability for Human Rights: From the Local to the Global,” explored how human rights law can be used to hold the U.S. government accountable to its international obligations and what that means for advocates working across local, national, and global contexts.
