CRRJ Conference: Gathering the Red Record Day 2
7.24–7.25.25 ›› Archivists, historians and legal scholars from across the United States convened at Northeastern Law in July 2025 for a two-day conference titled Gathering the Red Record: Linking Racial Violence Archives. Hosted by the Civil Rights and Restorative Justice Project, this gathering brought together researchers examining historical racially motivated violence to share strategies, workshop challenges and explore interoperability across collections.
The conference also celebrated a major milestone: the launch of the Burnham-Nobles Digital Archive 2.0, which added 275 new cases of historical racial violence to the comprehensive database.
