SLANTED: Stories and Songs with Simon Tam and The Slants

On October 26, 2023, Northeastern Law’s Center for Law, Information and Creativity (CLIC) hosted a presentation of stories and songs with Simon Tam and The Slants. Co-sponsored by Ropes & Gray, the event was followed by a signing of Simon Tam’s memoir, Slanted: How an Asian American Troublemaker Took on the Supreme Court, which was named “One of the Best Books on the Constitution of All Time” by Book Authority.

Simon’s story provides a raw look at our legal system with unflinching honesty and offers timely insights on freedom of speech, how to connect with others we disagree with, and the power of art.
