Northeastern Law Reaches New Heights with Historic Incoming Class

10.05.25 — Northeastern University School of Law is delighted to welcome the fall 2025 incoming class of JD and FlexJD students, which boasts the strongest academic profile in the school’s history. The median LSAT for the class is 164 and the median GPA is 3.78. While these numbers are remarkable, the school was particularly inspired by this class's diverse range of talents, life experiences and their shared commitment to using the law as a tool for creating a more just and equitable world.

This is a diverse class: 70 percent are women, 35 percent identify as people of color, 30 percent identify as members of the LGBTQ+ community and 14 percent are first-generation students. The average age is 25, with students in their twenties, thirties, forties and fifties. While many have ties to Massachusetts, as a group they represent 37 of the 50 states, four different countries and the District of Columbia.

The first-year students attended more than 140 different undergraduate institutions with more than 63 different majors, and 35 have already earned master’s or doctorate-level graduate degrees. Some have already worked inside the world of the law with district attorneys and public defenders, judges and at law firms of every size as legal assistants, interns, clerks and paralegals.
