“Through co-op, I experienced different areas of legal practice and got a much better idea of what I wanted to pursue as a career.
Quan Le ’98
Quan Le likes to build things — that’s why he uses his law degree to construct deals. Growing up, Quan remembers wanting to be either an architect or a lawyer — ultimately choosing the law. Now as senior corporate counsel for Sophos, a leader in cybersecurity solutions, Quan assembles artful deals with organizations from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies.
Building something from scratch may be in Quan’s genes. “I was born in Vietnam and came to this country with my family after the fall of Saigon,” he explains. “My mother was a single mom who worked hard to make sure her three kids would have the opportunity to pursue their goals.”
Quan is grateful for his Northeastern co-ops, which he says gave him the chance to explore distinct legal settings. “It opened my eyes to different options, how to work with different people,” he says. “Through co-op, I experienced different areas of legal practice and got a much better idea of what I wanted to pursue as a career.”
