02.07.25— Whitney Wotkyns, director of LLM, study abroad and international student services at Northeastern University School of Law, has been named to the leadership team of NAFSA: Association of International Educators for the Teaching, Learning and Scholarship Knowledge Community (TLS KC).

NAFSA is the world’s largest nonprofit association dedicated to international education and exchange, serving over 11,000 members across more than 4,300 institutions in 170+ countries. The TLS KC focuses on key areas such as cross-cultural competence, curriculum internationalization, faculty development, intercultural training, graduate student engagement, and advancing scholarly research in the field. “I am absolutely thrilled to have been provided the trust and opportunity to give back to NAFSA, and TLS community specifically, in this position,” said Wotkyns, a seasoned scholar practitioner and communications expert with years of experience in teaching, research and administration. “Having been a member of the organization since I was a graduate student I have learned so much from my colleagues in the field, NAFSA is a valuable community of dedicated scholar-practitioners and I am looking forward to shaping the upcoming conferences and experiences of the participants over the next two years through thoughtful, relevant and creative content.”

Wotkyns’s career spans international education roles at four universities and a global organization, with experience in teaching multilingual students, immigration advising, leading study abroad programs and developing cross-university partnerships.
