In terms of support and resources, what do you recommend to prospective students considering Northeastern Law?
I recommend that prospective students take full advantage of Northeastern Law’s people-based resources early on. Speaking with current students provides a candid and practical perspective on classes, workload and student life, while meeting with the co-op office is essential to understanding how the co-op process works in practice, including timelines, patterns of attendance, and how academic and professional experiences are integrated. These conversations help demystify the program and allow students to make informed decisions about how to navigate law school successfully.
What extracurricular activities have you been involved with at Northeastern?
Asian Pacific American Law Student Association; Privacy and Technology Law Society; Business Law Society; Intellectual Property Society.
What has been your favorite part about doing co-op while at Northeastern Law? Can you describe the experience?
My favorite part of doing a co-op at Northeastern Law has been the opportunity to apply what I learned in the classroom to real-world legal problems. My first co-op was with the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation, Division of Occupational Licensure, where I worked on regulatory compliance matters and supported attorneys on day-to-day agency operations. The experience allowed me to develop practical skills, refine my legal research and writing, and gain a clearer understanding of how legal analysis functions in a professional, client- and mission-driven setting.
