In terms of support and resources, what do you recommend to prospective students considering Northeastern Law?
Tours and Accepted Students Day. I found that by visiting the school, talking to prospective classmates, and interacting with faculty, I was able to get a sense of community and belonging. After visiting campus, I knew that I would be able to call Northeastern Law my second home.
What extracurricular activities have you been involved with at Northeastern?
Students for Immigrant Justice, Business Law Society, Labor and Employment Law Association.
What has been your favorite part about doing co-op while at NUSL? Can you describe the experience?
I will be going on my first co-op this fall. I will be working for the U.S. District Court in Boston.
Brett’s Journal
Northeastern University School of Law, or NUSL, is nestled among culinary crossroads, bordering the South End, Back Bay and Fenway neighborhoods, while also being connected to Chinatown, the North End, down town and more. Through the T, Boston’s public transportation system, students can discover everything from a quick snack to fuel a study session to a celebratory meal with friends. The law school’s prime location offers an impressive array of dining options. Within walking distance, students can find sushi, burritos, gyros, pizza, sandwiches and more.
Caffeine lovers in the NUSL community are spoiled. Wollaston’s Market, Dunkin and Starbucks serve as the go-to spots for a quick coffee and breakfast sandwich before, between and after classes. Tatte Bakery & Café and Pavement, both within a 10-minute walk, have devoted followers.
Outside of campus and on the weekends, NUSL students gather at one of Boston's many bars to celebrate birthdays, finishing finals, successful moot court competitions, job offers or simply to unwind after a week of studying. From trivia nights to rooftop cocktails to sports bars during big games, NUSL students have a wide array of options to gather outside of the classroom.
We asked current NUSL students to share their favorite spots around campus and their recommendations:
