2023 Daynard Roundtable: Derecka Purnell

Derecka Purnell came to campus for three days in February 2023 as a Daynard Distinguished Fellow. Her roundtable was titled “Abolition and the Future We Create Together” and moderated by Professor Daniel Medwed. Purnell is a human rights lawyer, researcher and author of Becoming Abolitionists: Police, Protests, and the Pursuit of Freedom.
