International Applicants Admissions

International applicants who have earned undergraduate degrees from institutions outside the United States or Canada should submit official copies of their transcripts to the LSAC JD Credential Assembly Service for translation. An explanation of the grading system used on the transcript should be included if it is not easily understood. An undergraduate degree earned outside the United States or Canada is acceptable for admission if it is determined to be equivalent to a bachelor’s degree. Applicants whose undergraduate degree program was not taught in English are encouraged take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), but it is not required.

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)

If you wish to submit your TOEFL score, simply request that the Educational Testing Service (ETS) send your score report directly to Northeastern University School of Law (institution code 3658). If you elect to use the LSAC Credential Assembly Service, you may arrange for ETS to send your TOEFL score report to LSAC (institution code 8395), and it will be reported in your credential evaluation. Under no circumstances may an applicant submit a score report directly to the law school; only official reports issued by ETS are acceptable. Photocopies or student copies are not permitted.
